If this post is a poll, I don't seem to be able to find a place where to cast my vote.

I vote for "Yes".

At the moment, SkyDemon does not make any attempt to keep track of fuel used, since there isn't really any point, and it would be purely a guess based upon input "ideal" conditions too. I am reluctant to show any "range circles" based upon a number which SkyDemon is basically just guessing at. GlideSafe is different because even though it takes wind and terrain into account, there is no fuel equation.

First, fuel gauges are often not any more accurate than guesses anyway. And you could let the user enter his best estimate offering SD's guess as a default value.

Att: Runways, thanks for your input. I do not think I have anything else to add at the moment, I will try to do some more thinking about the matter.

Att: Tim, thank you for looking into this. If I am not completely wrong G1000 have a simulare feature. So I do not think this would be a negative thing to have in Skydemon. At least in planning mode. Anyway, let me say thank you for great support and software.

Att: ckurz7000, I agree with you on that, I always calculate the fuel consumption, and the value are quite steady.

G1000 uses the fuel flow sensor - it doesn't guess!

Thank you for that information. Anything else than an fuel sensor/flow sensor is guess work anyway. It is just the way it is represented.
